In the 1970's my mom left Japan with her proverbial middle finger in the air. She would end up living on the other side of the world in Canada, apart from her family, for the rest of her life while starting a family of her own. I never understood the significance of this until I became a curious adult myself.

Travel is in my blood, and somehow it found me, or I found it. I do it both personally and professionally — the two often totally intertwined. I love to explore new places and cultures. To me that freedom to move and explore is the greatest privilege and wealth I could have asked for.
