As I sat shivering and eating my poutine under the red glow of the Canadian Tire sign, I thought to myself “could be the most quintessentially Canadian experience ever?”
There is also something about eating an apple straight from the tree that is pretty amazing and increasingly rare these days.
The Ramenaissance is upon us. Ramen restaurants are a dime a dozen now, and it’s my aim to eat in as many of them as possible. I mean, it makes sense right?
The place is abuzz with people and commotion. Tables line the edges of the central hall leading up to the wooden ship bar. A brass band plays 30’s style jazzy tunes, tucked away in the corner behind a tiki bar.

It was in late 2006 that I originally saw news from New York that heralded the opening of a restaurant with a 50's era concept of the automat called Bamn!. By 2009 Bamn!, however, was no longer.
The egg and mayo combo that comprises the sandwich filling is indeed fluffy and light. There’s a sweetness to it that is subtle and delicious.
