When the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 first came out a lightbulb went off for me. This is a tiny camera that can be used to produce high quality content quickly.

So on the surface it seems like Sony wins this battle with the FX3’s dual base ISO of 800 and 12,800 ISO. Canon on the other hand has a dual base ISO of 800 and 6400. The difference of 6400 and 12,800 ISO is one stop, and while that could make a big difference 1 stop is probably not that big of a deal…until it is.

Sony’s battery is great, but now there are some really good affordable options in the aftermarket space allowing you to shoot longer for less. Add in USB-C charging as a relatively standard feature and you’ll be shooting all day long and packing less chargers around with you.

I think when considering your first lighting kit for your camera, whatever the brand may be, you first need to determine the main application for the lighting.

While an expensive upgrade, the Sony K2M adaptor basically brings the audio functionality of a broadcast video camera to the Sony A7 series cameras with full manual control over audio functions.

As cameras have changed and my needs have evolved I have never really been able to nail it all down into one awesome bag. You're waiting for the part where I say "until now" right?
